Maurice Lacroix Phase de Lune Tonneau

And again I bought another watch. It’s from the Masterpiece collection, which is the Maurice LaCroix top collection. The watch has a different shape than all my other watches, a tonneau shaped case. Hence the name Maurice LaCroix Phase de Lune Tonneau.

Phase de Lune stands for the complication, which indicates moon phase. This watch also has indicators for the day of the week, month and of course the time.

The watch came on the steel bracelet and because this is not really my style I immediately ordered the matching black alligator strap. The strap’s price was kind of a shock. If Panerai and TAG Heuer ask around 250 euro for an alligator strap, Maurice LaCroix apparently thinks they can do the same.

This is by the way my first watch with a moon phase and calendar complication, except my replica Jaeger LeCoultre Master Perpetual (which I ignorantly bought in Vietnam before I knew anything about watches)

Congratulations on the new timepiece. I also just added this model to my collection. My watch came w/ the strap, however I would prefer the bracelet. Any chance you still have it & if so, would consider selling it?

Hi Roy, the MLC has been sold several years ago so I can’t help you with the bracelet. Maybe you can make a post on TZ-UK.com because I sold it to a collector from the UK. Good luck!
