Chopard Elton John Collection
Chopard released no less than 6 new watches in the weeks before Baselworld. For me only 2 of the 6 are interesting as the other 4 are ladies models. One of those ladies models really jumps out, because it’s made for a man… the Chopard Elton John Collection. Ice, ice baby… that’s some serious bling-bling
Luckily (for me) Chopard also brings two more interesting watches. The first is the new L.U.C Twist that will be available in 18ct rose or white gold. The white gold model has a black dial and white gold dauphine hands, the rose gold model come with a silver dial and rose gold hands. The 41mm case, 10mm thick, is water resistance to 30m and has two saphire crystals (front and back). This classic dress watch has a not so classic size and crown position, 41mm and the crown is positoined at 4 o’ clock. It comes on a hand-sewn brown or black alligator leather with a pin buckle in matching color gold.
Inside ticks the 1.96 L.U.C calibre with two L.U.C Twin® technology stacked barrels providing 65 hours of power reserve. The movement is of course COSC certified and even bears the Geneva seal! The small seconds are positoined off centre at 7 o’clock and the date is shown at the 3 o’ clock position.

And finally Chopard comes with a larger sized 42mm Mille Miglia that looks like the beautiful classic 39mm Mille Miglia we already know. This model is named after the classic sports cars race Mille Miglia. The new Chopard Mille Miglia has an automatic chronograph movement with a power reserve of 42 hours. The COSC certified movement has 37 jewels and beat 28,800 times per hour. Like the classic version it comes on the famous natural rubber Dunlop Racing strap inspired by the Dunlop Racing tire from the 60s.
Beautiful isn’t it? If you want one, rush to your Chopard dealer because it’s a limited edition!
